Who am I? Hi, I am Anaida. I’m a 3rd year student of Computer Networks and Security at Staffs. I am running for the full-time officer role as I have enjoyed and loved my experience at Staffs, and I want to make it an even better experience for others by ensuring that everyone’s voices are heard by creating an inclusive Union! #IHearYou Why should you vote for me? I have been a class rep during my 1st year. I am able to communicate well among students’ administrators and lecturers as part of my duties as a rep. I have worked at the union shop and GreenPad along with many students and staff members of Staffs to serve the best possible service the students deserve! Working as part of the union has helped me improve my problem-solving skills and my ability to work under pressure Being the ONLY International student who is a full-time officer candidate this year, I can relate to your problems and I want to help you feel at home at Staffs. #IAmOneOfYou I have worked alongside the International Student advisors to organise events and the welcome week. I will strive to make sure that you get the best student experience that you deserve. If elected I would aim to: Aim 1: Learn an additional skill which will make you an all rounded individual giving you an upper hand in your career. Ability to take up an extra module or learn a new language! e.g. IT student being able to take a management module. Aim 2: International Student? Forget the hassle of having to print hard copies of attendance sheets and bugging your lectures to get it signed and walk to the other side of the campus to submit it. Aim 3: Experience different cultures and traditions by interacting with people around the world through frequent, fun-filled events. Many more exciting trips! Have a say in the events that take place and have it your way! I will ensure that you are heard. #IHearYou Aim 4: We are living on this planet as if we have another one to go to.
