From my experience I know that the fighting game society at our university is really friendly and a great place to make friends with like-minded and passionate people. I owe the club a debt of gratitude, as it has greatly helped me come out of my shell and the meetings have been events I always greatly looked forward to.

While I have greatly enjoyed my time at Fight Club I strongly believe that with my involvement as communications officer I will be able to help improve the experience for all current members whilst making it a more welcoming society for those interested in joining.

Specifically, I want the club-goers to be more involved in the events and weekly tournaments we hold at our meets. To this end if voted community officer I will be making sure to give the members of our society the ability to help influence things like which games we will hold casual tournaments for as well as the ability to vote on and suggest ideas for special theme weeks.

Whether you are capable of pulling off hardcore combos that earn applause, or just like playing casually with friends, I want to make the club more fun for you in any way I can! I'm personally a big fan of indie fighters such as Punch Planet and Skullgirls among other more obscure titles that I would love to spotlight and share more if given the chance. I also play a lot of Dragonball Fighterz and Guilty Gear too, and am always open to trying out new titles!

I may not be the most skilled player, but I always do my best to show up to every event and give it my all anyway! Whether it's the casual weekly tournaments, or the bigger scale events like Staffs Showdown; I strongly believe that everyone should take part, show good sportsmanship in every match and, most importantly, enjoy the thrill of the fight!

Of course no society can be run completely smoothly, and a few bumps along the way are expected, but I am confident in my abilities to solve any disputes and issues swiftly and professionally, leaving everyone happy in the process.

To me the opinion of everybody is valid and important, whether you like to kick it with some indie fighters or are all about games like Mortal Kombat, Dragonball Fighterz and Soulcalibur. Regardless of your choice of game, I'll always do my best to make sure your voice is heard. I want to take the time and make the effort to be sure that Staffordshire University's Fight Club is a place for everybody to have fun.
