Hey there RAMS, hope you’re all having a good day. I’m happy to announce that I’m throwing my lot into the running for communications officer for 2019/2020. I’m sure most of you have seen me around events, but for those who haven’t I’m the fat guy with the fabulous hair who gets the moshing going!
For the past year I’ve been comms officer for the uni’s largest society, Myth gaming, so I’ve got loads of experience that I’m really looking forward to share with this great society. Plus, having spoken with other RAMS members, I have loads of ideas for more casual events for those who don’t drink. But obviously this would not neglect the invasions we all know and love.
If I get your vote, here’s a little taste of what we could be seeing;
- Pub socials
- Meals out
- Gigs
- Group trips out
- Collab events with other societies
- Film nights
- A music club (similar to a book club, but with music albums)
- And much, much more!
For me personally this is a great opportunity to improve the society for all of you lovely people, and to make it a much more of a social and friendly environment than it already is. End of the day, I’m a social guy who can keep a level head, and I’m looking forward to taking the society to new heights!
