As a commuter myself, I know how difficult it is to participate in many social events and clubs at University due to distance and also the constraints of public transport.
At present, I assist the current network manager with the network and I intend to work closely with the Students Union to provide more opportunities for commuters to socialise (by running regular commuter meet-up events) and I'm also campaigning for cheap overnight on-site accomodation so that commuters can participate in many of the late night events at University without having to worry about it they are going to miss their last bus or train or are sober enough to drive home.
The network is all about promoting the social life of commuters at University and that's exactly what I want to acheive!
