Hello! My name is Neroli Leung, or Nero. You may also have seen me on the Myth Discord under the name GelatinousCat.
I'm running for Communications Officer because Myth has been one of the main reasons I've enjoyed my first year here at Staffs. It's given me the opportunity to finally play Dungeons & Dragons, and I know other people have similarly been able to get started with and keep playing various tabletop games because of it. I hope to see Myth continue to grow and develop, and I want to help.
As Communications Officer, my goals are to:

Increase Transparency. I think it would be beneficial if the committee was more explicit about current activities and future plans, so that members can be fully aware of what's happening with the management of the society.

Increase Presence. The committee should be more visibly active on social media outside of the occasional announcement regarding major events like signups, such that contacting a committee member is a clear and easy process whenever necessary.

Increase Membership. In conjunction with starting more casual society-wide events so that people can bond over shared interest in tabletop games, I would like to have open events in the vein of board game nights and Dungeon Legends, where people can bring friends who may not be part of Myth but are still interested.
In essence, I want to improve communications between the committee and society members.
