Hi! My name is Isobel, I'm a third-year student studying Policing and Criminal Investigation here at Staffs. I'm running for the role of full-time officer and here is my manifesto!
Social life and community –
No Student at university should feel isolated, As a result, I would like to support the university and union to organise a greater variety of events and activities for students to meet and socialise outside of the lecture setting. Alongside this, I would like to further promote and support all of the sports clubs and societies that make up a massive part of the Staffordshire University community.
Student Support –
University can be a very difficult time for many people, and you are not alone! I believe every student should have easy-to-access Mental Health support when they need it. In addition, the Students Union offers several amazing services and resources for students! I want to help raise awareness and promote these services so you know where to turn if you need help and advice.
Facilities and Resources –
University facilities should be available when you need them! I want to increase the availability of the study spaces and bring back the catalyst as a 24-hour space. I would like to revisit the opening hours of resources such as the Art Shop and reconsider the availability of software home licenses.
