As a international graduating student, having run a society which won event of the year, and filling the position of London site rep the past 2 years I have an understanding of the importance of a fulfilling education and equitable opportunities for everyone.
Therefore I want to unite the students and work towards these objectives if I get elected:
1. Equitable Access to Resources:
- Work towards Increasing access to both physical and digital learning materials, bridging gaps and ensuring every student has the tools to thrive.
- Extended Opening Hours on Campus:
- Advocating for 24/7 access to facilities like the Catalyst, accommodating diverse student schedules.
- Continue previous efforts towards finding a solution for extended opening at the London Campus
2. Overcoming the 20-Hour Work Limit on Student Visas:
- Addressing restrictions on international student visas, exploring avenues to allow international students to work more hours if the job is directly relevant to their course of study, without jeopardizing their visa status, levelling the playing field.
3. Standardization of Assignment Briefs:
- Promoting consistency in assignment formats across courses to enhance fairness, transparency, and academic success.
These are just some of the goals I will work towards if I get ellected as officer, I believe that if we stand togheter today, we can empower tomorrow.
