Hello and welcome to 2019! We hope you had a good break and are excited for the return of the Pokemon Society! :D
We're starting the year off with a Movie Night with the beginning of Generation 3! We'll be watching 2 movies this time instead of 1 which are Jirachi—Wish Maker and Destiny Deoxys
We'll start Jirachi—Wish Maker at 6PM and then Destiny Deoxys will start around 7:30PM sharp so try to be here on time if you can. You're not forced to watch both movies so if you only want to watch one of them then feel free to come at around the time they'll start. If you're late then that's fine, just try to be quiet when you come in.
The combined duration of these movies is 2 hours and 50 minutes. We'll be having a 10 minute break between movies which will take us up to 9PM in total which is when we'll have to end for the day. This is how our Movie Nights will go for now on where we'll be watching 2 movies instead of 1 so try to bring as much food and drink as you can if you plan to stay for both movies.
We'll also be in the same room as we were last year which is T101 within the Beacon Building (The building opposite the Library and next to Mellor). We'll be there from 5PM but as mentioned, the movie won't start until 6PM so feel free to come early if you can
This Movie Night is also a taster session so you don't requite a membership to attend, but you will for any other Movie Nights afterwards. Memberships are £3 for the entire year and they give you access to all of our events including Movie Nights, Tournaments, and Gym Battles. The money goes into the society to help us pay for stuff such as equipment and prizes to give out. Becoming a member would really help us out a ton!
