About British Science Week and Global Recycling Day
Global Recycling Day 2023 takes placed on Saturday 18 March 2023. This event marks the 6th Global Recycling Day, that’s why we want to see you recycle more on campus!
Whether that’s working with students in halls to recycle more of their waste, reusing or repurposing something that would’ve otherwise gone to landfill, or taking part in our campus litter pick.
Global Recycling Day is a day for us to come together and put the planet first. Recycling is a key part of the circular economy, helping to protect our natural resources. Each year recyclables save over 700 million tonnes in CO2 emissions and this is projected to increase to 1 billion tons by 2030!
