Carolyn Gair's Story
"Carolyn my tutor, was allocated to me at the end of a tough journey within university. When I first met Carolyn she was very reassuring, empathetic, smiley and had such a warm presence. Carolyn is always very happy, which is brilliant because I am quite a bubbly person myself. Through getting to know Carolyn she has being such a support for me and built me up with my confidence. When I have problem or a query, she is always willing to listen and help me through this. Carolyn is also very flexible and when I am stressed or anxious she has always being on the other end of the phone or email and arranged to see me at both our conveniences. Carolyn has supported me, encouraged me and allowed me to have a voice throughout my work. She has also provided me with great feedback which has allowed me to reflect and develop throughout my time. Carolyn has always seen the good in me which is most important for someone's self-esteem. Carolyn is an asset to the team and an absolute credit to herself! She will be one I will remember throughout my social work career! Throughout the course we have being taught all the core social work values and what makes a good practitioner and Carolyn is just that!!! "
