Proud to be Staffs Story: Chris Hawkins
A proud student told us...
'Chris is an academic and lecturer who puts his students above all else. He consistently asks, applies, and insists on feedback for every single thing to strive to improve it for the Computing department. If there is an issue, he will be at the forefront of solving it. He has gone out of his way many times to make specialised communication channels, share and standardise resources and make everything students need available to them. This includes writing out an email for every single opportunity he has come across for students if he believes it may benefit them. He responds to everyone politely and solves everything, signposting as necessary and taking matters into his own hands where possible. He makes sure that students feel comfortable enough to discuss their matters with him and aims for positive change in the department. He is our go-to due to his mission. We thank you Chris.'
