Dom, as a Union Team Member, stepped forward to lead our Students' Union to deliver incredible online events for our students. His hard work has ensured that many of our students can continue to enjoy 'nights out' whilst staying safe. Thank you Dom, for making us Proud to be Staffs.

Dom McBratney 's Story

"Dom has been amazing throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic. He has managed to engage multiple students online every Wednesday and Friday night on his Twitch to keep our popular evening events happening - Gobble and Flashback Friday. We've seen extremely high turnouts for Gobble and Flashback Friday, with many students who wouldn't normally engage, getting online and streaming the Twitch. He has been a great DJ and this has been quoted by multiple students, and has allowed them to be 'creative' with their own evening entertainment - with Dom DJing online in the background. It's a difficult time for students at the moment, so any little thing that can be done to improve the student experience goes a long way. We've enjoyed seeing Dom's different hairstyles and techniques throughout lockdown and him doing this for our students to keep their usual evening activities going remotely has made me proud to be staffs! Thank you Dom! "
