For incredible work supporting our environment (particularly our Hedgehog community!)
Proud to be Staffs Story: Jess Caldwell
Student | School of Health, Science and Wellbeing
"Jess has done amazing work for our campus and making Staffs more sustainable. As part of her undergrad, she signed the University up to the Hedgehog Friendly Campus project, which is a national accreditation scheme funded by the hedgehog preservation society which aims to recognise universities that complete a series of tasks that improve their campus. As part of the project, Jess has built a hedgehog house on campus in the Wild Staffs garden, she has educated the grounds keeping team on looking for hedgehogs before trimming the grass, run activities, fundraisers and is continuing to do great work while completing her masters! Jess has managed to get our University Bronze Accreditation with the scheme and is currently working towards Silver Accreditation. She makes me proud to be Staffs because of how much care and love she has for what she does, and Jess's work has had such a positive impact on our campus and the sustainability of our institution :)"
We hope that you are as proud of your story as we are. However, if you would prefer the Students' Union to no longer display you story on our website, please email union@staffs.ac.uk and a member of our friendly team will be happy to help.
