Proud to be Staffs Story: Keith Warton
A proud student told us...
'The kindest and smartest lecturer I had in my first semester after transferring here from Sri Lanka. It wasn't easy being here for my second year when everyone else had already settled in, but I really appreciate the support he extended to me and the other Sri Lankan students. I'll always be appreciative because not only was his class my favourite, but he was also excellent at helping in a way that didn't make me feel different/foreign. He didn't single me out or keep highlighting our differences, he just naturally worked towards making me feel like I could do well. Whenever I emailed him with an issue, spoke to him after class, or generally looked confused, he was there without fail (despite being a very busy man!) There are few lecturers like him, and I hope that Staffs appreciates what he does for students regardless of whether or not he gets this award.'
