"Starting a new job less than a year after being diagnosed with an invisible disability is a daunting prospect, but the Students' Union has been incredibly supportive. Jamie, Scott and Lisa especially have supported me every step of the way as I struggle to understand the way my brain works (or rather, doesn't) and figure out where I need support. All three have gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable, help me fit in, and help me navigate my new workplace - and the experience has been completely seamless. I'd never imagined working somewhere that made me feel so thoroughly respected, not just in my relatively junior role but also for my specific background and experience."
