What are Volunteering Experiences?
Volunteering experiences are opportunities for you to support your community by undertaking activities in real life environments. You'll be contributing to community-focused causes, whilst developing your own skills and experiences to become a well-rounded Staffordshire Graduate.
Your Students' Union supports you to access four different categories of Volunteering Experience:
On-Campus Experiences
Our on-campus volunteering experiences take place right here at Staffordshire University. You'll be supported by our dedicated Employability and HR Team and working to make the experience for our students even better. Click here to learn more!
Community Experiences
Our partner, do-it.org, maintains an incredible national database of volunteering opportunities just waiting for you. With just a few clicks you'll be taking the first steps into an incredible experience in your community. There are many different types of roles available and with do-it.org's powerful search engine, you'll be able to select your interests, skills and search area to find the perfect opportunity.
Active Experiences
In partnership with the Sports Development Team from the Sir Stanley Matthews Sports Centre, you'll be able to develop your passion for sport and outdoor activities into a vocation. Be it coaching younger people in the local community or leading adventure camps, there'll be something for you.
Environmental Experiences
Working either right here on campus or in one of many beautiful Staffordshire locations with the National Trust, you'll be able to conserve and enjoy our beautiful surroundings.
