Commit to Git Recap
On November 20th 2024, we hosted Commit to Git, a workshop designed to introduce students to GitHub, a vital tool for developers worldwide. The session brought together students from various year groups, creating a vibrant environment for learning and collaboration.
The workshop covered essential GitHub topics, including creating repositories, managing branches, and handling pull requests. Attendees worked through practical, real-world examples, equipping them with valuable skills to use in their coursework, personal projects, and future careers.
A key highlight was the collaborative spirit among members. Students shared knowledge, supported one another, and formed connections across year groups, fostering a sense of community and teamwork.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the event's success. Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn are what make these workshops so impactful.
