Power-Up Python Recap 🐍

On November 13th 2024 we hosted Power-Up Python, a beginner-friendly workshop aimed at teaching the fundamentals of Python programming. It was fantastic to see so many eager students ready to learn a new language or enhance their coding skills in a supportive environment.

Hands-On Learning and Collaboration

The workshop covered Python basics, including syntax, data structures, and solving simple challenges. Whether participants were brand new to programming or refining their foundational skills, everyone showcased curiosity, ambition, and resilience—powering through first-time coding errors with determination.

Students asked thoughtful questions and worked together to problem-solve, making the session interactive and inspiring. We’re excited to provide all attendees (and those who missed out) with workshop slides and challenges so they can continue learning at home.

Movember with a Twist 👨

To raise awareness for Movember, our female committee members sported fake moustaches throughout the event and distributed free Movember badges. It was a fun way to support an important cause, and we’re grateful for everyone who donated or helped spread awareness.
