On Sunday, while walking, I came across a digital billboard displaying National Highways ‘Lend a paw, Bin your litter’ campaign. Highlighting such an important message ‘Litter kills’.
https://nationalhighways.co.uk/.../envir.../bin-your-litter/
Let's all work together to make our streets, neighbourhoods, highways, and planet safe and litter-free places; whether it’s a full or overflowing bin, smashed glass or litter, please report it. #bealitterhero
- Seen litter on a highway? – report it, through National Highway’s online reporting too: https://report.nationalhighways.co.uk/
- Seen litter in your local area? Report it to your local council.
- Not sure who to send the report to? Check out GOV.UK: https://www.gov.uk/report-litter
Can’t find how to report it to your local council? Try the Love Clean Streets App or website (https://lovecleanstreets.info/) or the FixMyStreet.com website (https://www.fixmystreet.com/)
The tool lets you attach a photograph to the report and pinpoint the problem's location (great for parks, rural areas, or obscure areas).
According to the National Highways campaign, litter kills 3 million animals a year. Let's all do our part to lend a paw and #bealitterhero
