Thank you to: Aurelia Brzezowska
Student | Subject Rep
A proud student told us...
"Aurelia has made me a better rep myself through everything she's been up to. Everyone looks up to her for all the work she does. I've seen her comfort students at their lowest, bringing them to the right contacts and helping them out. Honestly everyone comes to her for everything because she lets them feel vulnerable. They trust her and that really inspires me. She never takes a break, which is kind of worrying but she does so much to help others. Everyday she's in a meeting, writing notes, checking up on students, talking to lecturers, even ones not in her own course to see how to bring new methods, ideas and teachings back to computing and the other lecturers. We hope you know you're appreciated for every problem you've solved that you didn't tell anyone about.
Aura goes above and beyond every single time, no matter how busy she is or what’s on her plate. She’s always volunteering for open days, running initiatives through the Computing Society to help students level up, and genuinely listening to what they need. In just the first semester, I’ve seen her tackle so many issues—it feels like she’s always in a meeting, helping someone out. Honestly, she doesn’t stop. She even stepped in when students in AI and Robotics were at risk of losing their course title and made sure the program regained BCS accreditation. When a London student shared their concerns, she didn’t hesitate—she jumped in, found evidence, rallied reps together, and lifted everyone up to be more confident in their roles. She has these real, heartfelt conversations with students to make sure they feel seen and supported. What’s wild is she does all of this without letting others know what's already on her plate. But we notice. She’s in every meeting, giving updates, chasing down every issue, and advocating for students in a way that makes them feel safe. The fact that so many people trust her with their problems says it all. She’s constantly working with lecturers, posting opportunities and advice in the Computing servers, and encouraging people to go for placements and take risks. Even students who haven’t met her know who she is. Aura’s the kind of person who just quietly makes everything better for everyone around her. I've not met a busier and better department rep, and she's somehow on the placement all at the same time!? Dedication."
Thank you Aurelia for your dedication to representing your peers.
