An Beacon issue causing timetables to display multiple overlapping mandatory sessions has been resolved.
A previously reported issue with timetables for Graphic Design students has been resolved. Students' timetables had been showing multiple overlapping mandatory sessions, leaving them uncertain which were relevant and reliant on advice from staff on which to attend. Faran raised the issue with Christina Matthews, the university's Executive Director for Student and Academic Services, and the issue should now be resolved. It was originally beleived to have been caused by a timetabling error, which led to some confusion in trying to figure out what had happened; it has since been discovered to have been caused by a bug in the Beacon app which had resulted in sessions being displayed to students who were not expected to attend them at all.
Students encountering issues with their timetables are encouraged to speak to their Course Rep.
