The Islamic Society Sister's meet & greet offers faith, food and creative flair

At Staffordshire University, a warm and welcoming sisters’ meet and greet was recently held, bringing together students from all walks of life.

The event was open to both Muslim and non-Muslim sisters, fostering a sense of unity and understanding. The gathering began with introductions and a chance to get to know each other, setting the tone for a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

The event opened with an Islamic quiz, testing attendee's knowledge and understanding allowed for learning and discussions about Islam in an interactive way. This helped create a deeper appreciation for the faith, even for those who were unfamiliar with it.

Attendees enjoyed refreshments and a chance to relax, socialise and get to know eachother in a comfortable and informal setting.

To end the session, attendees had the chance to showcase their creativity by painting and decorating tote bags. The hands-on activity allowed everyone to express themselves artistically while bonding over shared experiences.

Committee were really please with the event and students' engagement with the activities, saying "The meet and greet was a wonderful way to build community, share knowledge, and create lasting memories."

The Islamic society have lots planned and the theme to expect is faith, fundraising and friendships.
