10/01 - Not much of an update from me! Before the break, I did outreach work with the Stoke-on-Trent Sixth-Form College student council. I have been on break until the 8th - but now I'm back and ready for a new year!
15/01 - Last week, I completed carbon literacy training with the university, which was a really interesting day. I wrote the union policy proposal for the NUS conference, where we are looking at students' finances. I have also been wrestling with tonsillitis and physical disabilities since, unfortunately.
22/01 - I had a relatively quiet week last week. I continued work on the Engagement Deal and spent a lot of time reviewing policy for NUS Liberation, as a member of their steering committee. The Citizenship Module is hopefully getting the final sign-off this week!
29/01 - Last week, in addition to attending my regular meetings, I started policy work for the NUS Liberation Conference. I also met with the Union Trustee Board, where I argued against some points that could have a negative impact on your student experience, and fought to keep your access to weekend spaces on campus.
