In preparation for the second season of their new league, which brings together students from across the country, the Mario Kart Society played a friendly game against their league rivals, York MKSoc from the University of York.
Poppy Neville, Brandon Langford, George Rooney, Connor Prett, Corey Cherry, and Alfie White, as well as their coach Jamie Cooper, successfully beat York in a series of 12 races. With fierce competition throughout, they took the match 528 - 456. This also served as a test match for the new UMKL channel, discord, and bot.
