See what Mario Kart Society and Myth were up to at Keele on Saturday the 15th February!
Mario Kart Society and Myth attended Nerdkon 2025, hosted at Keele University's SU
The event, hosted over the weekend for the 15th-16th February, saw a variety of board games, computer games and tournaments hosted over both days, and a range of other activities, like several TTRPG one-shots, a cosplay competition, a competitive pokemon competition, a VR set-up with Beat Saber, and numerous other stalls dedicated to arts and other such things!
Mario Kart Society ran their biggest tournament ever on-stage, and helped run more causal games of Mario Kart, while also having to be up at 6am for travel and set-up!
Myth showed off their fair share of board game prowess, running several games of Warhammer 40k, Blood on the Clocktower, running other board games, and also conducted a Magic: The Gathering Aetherdrift Draft tournament! One of the committee also lent their switch for a Smash Bros tournament.
Both groups also partook in a wider range of various activities such as organising a big quiz for the event!
We're really proud of MKS and Myth for turning up to Keele and representing the students here at Staffs! We're also thankful to any students who attended as part of the Art stalls or generally as visitors/participants!
