We are pleased to announce that our new University Police Liaison Officer, Gareth Richardson, has now started at the University.
He replaces Simon Stone, who many of you will have known and worked extensively with over recent years.
Gareth’s appointment continues the important links the University has with Staffordshire Police, and our commitment to keeping the campus safe alongside our experienced Campus Safety and Security Services team.
Gareth has a wealth of police experience, including a strong background in neighbourhood and problem-solving policing, and is keen to start working with us to make a positive difference at the University.
Over the coming weeks he will be getting to know people, as well as the University campus and how it operates, pinpointing where he can add value and help with some of the challenges we face. Crucially, he will also be getting out and about as much as he can and engaging proactively with our students.
