We're pleased to share examples of the wonderful people and groups in our community and how they make our student members feel proud to be part of Staffs.
Some proud students told us:
"The Myth society has been a huge part of this academic year for me personally as I was elected as Co-Head for the Card Games subsection of Myth. I’ve had an absolute blast getting to know everyone on the committee and subcommittee as well as the members at the many weekly sessions. Myth has been able to revive my most invested hobby (cardgames) and gave me and others the chance to express ourselves and have fun in a safe and welcoming environment. As well as cardgames, Myth also introduced me to Warhammer which has been a blessing to be a part of that community, such nice people to share experiences with. Also, the Goat “John Myth” as we call him has been a real trooper throughout the year and made a significant positive impact on the society as its newest head. Overall, it’s been an amazing year for Myth and I’ve enjoyed every second of it whilst being excited to experience more!"
"I have become close with many members of the committee and I know how much hard work they are constantly putting in to the society. We are all very vocal about our concerns and suggestions so we always on the same page on topics as well as able to fix issues with everyone’s best interests in mind. Most of the committee have been in Myth for a couple years now so they know what they’re doing, which is good knowing that their sessions will be managed well. Overall, they’ve been doing great and supportive throughout the year!"
Thank you Myth Society for making a positive difference for students here at Staffs.
We hope that you are as proud of your story as we are. However, if you would prefer the Students' Union to no longer display your story on our website, please email union@staffs.ac.uk and a member of our friendly team will be happy to help.
