25/11 - Last week was a busy but exciting one! I had the privilege of planning and celebrating International Students Day, which turned out amazing - it was so great seeing all the cultures come together. On top of that, I helped social work students get their term letters sorted so they can work full-time during the holidays I was part of the course monitoring meeting for the Institute of Business and Innovation and the Games Institute last week. One of the key action points was introducing a more flexible onboarding process to help set clear academic expectations for students before they start. We’re also looking at using a peer-to-peer buddy system to support students who join late, helping them settle in and catch up smoothly. And finally, our Members' Meeting was a big success— as the union prides itself on transparency amongst many other virtues.
