A student-led society that is open to students at all levels from Foundation to Ph.D. You do not need to have any forensic or policing experience to join the FACS Society, just an interest in forensics and true crime.

About the group:

FACS is dedicated to exploring all aspects of crime, from the minute detectives, such as insects that provide forensic investigators with vital clues about decaying bodies to the broader realm of vehicle collisions, whether fatal or non-fatal. The organization seeks to delve into as many facets of forensic investigation as possible, striving to cultivate the most skilled professionals for the future of the criminal justice system.

Additionally, FACS provides opportunities for networking, enabling members to connect with individuals who may become future collaborators.Since its revival, has hosted engaging events for its members every Wednesday afternoon.

These activities range from solving murder mysteries to hands on practical sessions in the state of the art labs at University of Staffordshire . The society has ambitious plans for the future, including hosting even more thrilling events, organizing a trip to the Nottingham Crime and Justice Museum, and potentially launching a student led conference to delve into all aspects of forensic science.
