Happy Holidays! As the year draws to a close, and we all welcome in the Nerw Year, there's no better time to reflect on all of your highlights from the first half of the academic year. This month, we are thrilled to highlight the outstanding achievements and contributions of December's Student Group of the Month, the Engineering Society.
Comprising some of the brightest minds on campus, this dynamic and innovative group has demonstrated a relentless commitment to building a sense of community amongst students with similar interests. From organising insightful workshops and activities to hosting larger events and trips, the Engineering Society has consistently showcased its passion for making everyone “Proud to be Staffs”
What sets this group apart is not only the academic support they offer, for example, hosting study downtime sessions, offering members access to a comfortable space for them to complete assignments and revise for exams, but also their collaborative spirit and dedication to making each of their members feel welcome. Their commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment within the group has resulted in a tight-knit community where ideas flow freely, and members are empowered to explore their full potential.
In addition to their academic progress, the Engineering Society has been keen to organise activities and projects that promote networking and knowledge exchange among students, including seasonal projects, like this month’s build an LED Christmas Tree session.
On top of all of their achievements this year so far, the Engineering Society have further embraced their community spirit through their recent charity event, bringing together staff and students alike to collect essential items for the Macari Centre, a foundation dedicated to ending homelessness within the local area.
As we celebrate the Engineering Society as student group of the month, we applaud their achievements, leadership, and dedication to their society. Their passion for learning, collaborative ethos, and commitment to making a positive difference make them true examples of excellence in our community.
Congratulations to the Engineering Society for their well-deserved recognition as the student group of the month!
