Throughout 2022/23 and 2023/24 we were hearing feedback from students that their timetables didn't work for them: commuter students with long periods of downtime between sessions, giving them the choice between the expense of travelling home and back or waiting around on campus; parents with sessions running into the evenings; clashes with established extracurricular events and traditionally-reserved Wednesday afternoons. Your Full-Time Officer teams have been working to resolve the problem since 2022, leading to a review of the Student Charter and, in November 2023, a promise of improvements that would put an end to such issues for the start of the 2024/25 academic year.

So, we want to hear from you! Has your timetabling improved? Are you still encountering long periods of downtime between sessions, or do you have unbalanced weeks or sessions on Wednesday afternoons? Get in touch with your rep to share your feedback!
