An Update from Me...

02/12 - Well, I survived last week! It was a busy one. I attended the Board of Governors strategic event, where we talked about setting realistic goals for the university’s student recruitment and reflected on how far the university has come, as well as plans for the future. At the Rep Council meeting, I gave updates on what I’ve been up to, and other officers did the same. Subject Reps raised issues from their peers, which I have already flagged with the Vice-Chancellor. We’ll be following up with the relevant teams to get them sorted. I also had a catch-up with the Vice-Chancellor to talk about the Students' Union and students’ concerns overall. Click here for previous updates.

My Manifesto

Enhancing Student Support Services

I will aim to improve student support services to ensure every student has access to the resources they need for academic, mental, and emotional success. This includes expanding counseling, enhancing academic advising, promoting mental health awareness, and offering fitness classes, mindfulness sessions, stress-relief workshops, and support groups.

Student Engagement & Representation

I will work to increase student involvement in university decisions by improving participation in feedback forums, advocating for student representation on committees, and empowering student reps to voice their peers' concerns.

Community Building & Social Event

A vibrant and inclusive campus is key to student well-being. I will organize diverse social events, cultural activities, and recreational opportunities to bring students together and create lasting memories.

Skill Development Workshop

I will organize regular workshops on leadership, communication, time management, and financial literacy to help students build essential skills for academic success and personal growth.
